Overview
The behavioral health environment is rich with enthusiastic, recovery-oriented, and let’s be honest just plain wonderful practitioners. But what about how to promote a practitioner from direct service to a supervisory level? Where do you find the information and direction to support the professional development of those worthy staff? The skills to be a wonderful practitioner are not the same skills required to be a wonderful manager. This professional development is often overlooked by behavioral healthcare organizations and contributes to managers encountering difficulties and negatively impacting programs and organizations.
Supercharged Supervision offers a series of skill sets, tools and techniques, vital to the success of the supervisor in a psychiatric rehabilitation organization. These skill sets provide a foundation for the optimal functioning of a supervisor and provide a framework for Administrators to evaluate the success of each supervisor in the field.
