"Inappropriate For Treatment": Are We Doing What We Can To Respect The Dignity and Worth of Every Person?

You are here

Sunday, June 25 / 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm
TED-Like Talks

The concept of respect is used as one of the guiding principles for a variety of treatment models, professions, and religions.  However, acknowledging the concept and putting it into action are two different matters.  In this Ted-like Talk, we will be presenting several narratives from our own experiences in crisis management and mental health practice to highlight opportunities for growth as it relates to respecting the inherent dignity and worth of every person. We hope to demonstrate that our most “difficult” clients with charts full of “red flags” are the ones who need respect and compassion the most.
