PRA Academy Continuing its Success and Leading the Way in 2014

The Academy of Psychiatric Rehabilitation and Recovery (the Academy) has quickly become the go-to place for the psychiatric rehabilitation community to enhance their knowledge and skills while earning continuing education credits. With the overwhelmingly positive feedback from the launch of the Academy in the fall of 2013, PRA has further expanded the curriculum for 2014 featuring an even wider range of webinar series, online courses, and live trainings.

Through an enhanced professional development training center, the Academy connects great ideas with great people and provides exceptional learning opportunities to enhance the professional development of the psychiatric rehabilitation community in three areas:

A webinar series based on the all-new second edition of the Best Practices in Psychiatric Rehabilitation. Featuring four 90-minute webinars led by well-respected experts and authors of the Best Practices book; each webinar will focus on a specific topic from the book. View webinars.

CPRP Domain-Focused Webinar Series
This 7-part webinar series will feature a 90 minute webinar each month that will cover topics surrounding the seven CPRP performance domains that have been identified through various Role Delineation Studies conducted by PRA. View webinars.

Live Trainings
Children's Certificate in Psychiatric Rehabilitation Course (PLEASE NOTE: At the conclusion of 2018, PRA will no longer be recognizing the Children's Certificate in Psychiatric Rehabilitation - the Child and Family Resiliency Pracitioner (CFRP) credential is the designation recognized by PRA in order for CBRS Practitioners to provide services to children.)
If you work predominantly with children of transition age or younger, increase your abilities and knowledge as a youth services practitioner by earning your Certificate in Children’s Psychiatric Rehabilitation (20 contact hours) during an in-person three day course. At this training you will… Learn to identify the principles, processes, and skills necessary to help children overcome their unique, individual challenges and succeed; gain the vital tools necessary to assess and teach critical skills to children; explore effective ways to support children and strategically involve their families in the process; and foster resiliency in children and help to prevent disability in adulthood. PRA Academy Advisory Council Members
The Advisory Council brings together a team of broad-based subject matter experts to serve as Ambassadors of the Academy.
