PsyR Connections 2013 Issue 3
September 25, 2013

PRA and the Certification Commission for Psychiatric Rehabilitation are pleased to announce that CPRP recertification has moved online. Now an easier and more streamlined process, CPRP recertification is hosted with Professional Credential Services, Inc. (PCS). All application materials and payments are now processed by PCS. Paper applications for recertification will no longer be accepted.

This new application system streamlines the recertification process for applicants and administration. CPRPs will see an increased turnaround time in application review, and will be able to print verification of certification directly from the PCS online system. To expedite the recertification process, accounts have been created for all current CPRPs. Information and instructions on how to access personal CPRP accounts will be emailed with the next recertification notification. CPRPs due to recertify in September 2013 were emailed this information on August 5, 2013.

The Commission will continue to issue CPRP identification cards following each certification cycle and CPRPs will be able to purchase updated formal certificates through the PRA online store.

Please contact Casey Ward Goldberg, chief staff officer of credentialing programs, by phone, 703-442-2078 or email with any questions or concerns.

The application process to become a CPRP moved online earlier this summer. For more information, visit the CPRP homepage.
