Using Whole Health Action Management (WHAM) Effectively At Your Agency

Many service providers receive Whole Health Action Management (WHAM) training, but find it challenging to facilitate the program. This presentation provides an overview of WHAM and the active ingredients that are critical to its success. Presenters discuss their experience running the WHAM intervention and focus on the 3 R’s – Recruitment, Retention, and Results. The workshop will provide tips for running WHAM at an agency and addressing common barriers that arise. We will address cultural issues that impact health literacy and create barriers to changing health behaviors. Finally, we will discuss participant's experiences with WHAM, and problems/successes they have encountered.
