PRA Dincin Fellows

The PRA Dincin Fellows are members who have reached a level of distinction in the professional practice of psychiatric rehabilitation and advancement of the field through their involvement in the Association, service-based programs, scientific inquiry, advocacy, and chapter development.

A PRA Dincin Fellowship will be conferred upon those who have met a standard of excellence in the practice of psychiatric rehabilitation. A PRA Dincin Fellows’ contributions extend beyond his or her individual job to a wider sphere of influence. Through educational achievement, validation of competency through advanced credentials, research initiatives, publication, and advocacy initiatives, a PRA Dincin Fellow will have made a mark as a psychiatric rehabilitation professional of distinction.

Criteria and Rules for the PRA Dincin Fellows Program

The PRA Dincin fellowship Program recognizes members who have made significant and sustained contributions to the art and science of psychosocial/psychiatric rehabilitation.

Eligibility:
An individual cannot be nominated while acting as a current member of the PRA and PRF Board of Directors or Certification Commission.

1. An individual must be a Founding Member of  PRA (formerly IAPSRS and USPRA).

OR

    2.  An individual maintaining an active membership as an individual member and/or an employee of an organizational member for twenty (20) years preceding induction.

Criteria:

1. The nominee must have demonstrated nationally prominent leadership within the field.
2. The nominee must have demonstrated influence, achievement, and contribution to the art and science of psychiatric rehabilitation through workforce development and/or published research or other publications in the field.
3. The nominee must have documented evidence of significant contributions to the Association (e.g., chairperson of a committee, served on the PRA Board of Directors, etc.) and/or their state chapter (e.g., served on a local chapter’s Board of Directors) for at least six years.
4. Preferential consideration will be given to an individual who has held a CPRP credential by PRA for at least four years, and if still providing services is a current CPRP.

Rules:

1. Nominations must be received no later than Friday, April 1, 2016. Download the PRA Dincin Fellows Nomination Form.
2. Nominations for a PRA Dincin Fellow cannot be made by self-nomination. Any PRA member may nominate an individual for consideration as a Dincin Fellow.
3. Nominations must include an endorsement from a current PRA Dincin Fellow. 
4. A review committee consisting of five PRA Dincin Fellows will evaluate the nominations.

PRA will recognize the 2016 PRA Dincin Fellows as follows: 

• PRA Dincin Fellows will be announced at the 2016 Recovery Workforce Summit, May 22-25, 2016 in Boston, MA.
• PRA Dincin Fellows will receive a framed certificate recognizing their accomplishment.
• PRA Dincin Fellows will be announced via press release, published in the 2016 Recovery Workforce Summit onsite program and highlighted in PRA newsletters, website and via social media outlets.
• Fellows have the right to identify themselves as a PRA Dincin Fellows.
