Current SAMHSA Grant Opportunities
PRA encourages you to review current grant opportunities through SAMHSA through which they may find opportunity to expand important work your local communities. Examples of current grants open for consideration include:
- Cooperative Agreements to Benefit Homeless Individuals: Develop programs to locate permanent housing for individuals, families, and veterans who experience chronic homelessness.
- Drug-Free Communities (DFC) Support Program: Develop programs with the goal of reducing substance use among youth and, over time, reduce substance abuse among adults by addressing the factors in a community that increase the risk of substance abuse and promoting the factors that minimize the risk of substance abuse.
- Targeted Capacity Expansion-Peer-to-Peer : Expand and enhance service capacity through the provision of peer recovery support services for those individuals with substance use disorders and their family members to help achieve and maintain recovery. Outcome measurement focus on increased abstinence from substance use, employment, housing stability, social connectedness, decreased criminal/juvenile justice involvement, and increased indicators of successful recovery and enrollment in education, vocational training, and/or employment.
